Woodland’s Hunt Club

My son and I had our first hunt ever today. It was a great day for a father and son to share. I wanted to thank Mendel for running such a top notch professional hunting experience. I also want to thank Bill and Keeper for making our first hunt a fun experience. Bill is very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Keeper worked his tail off and flushed all our birds out. I was in awe how Bill and his dog worked together as a team. Keeper is a young dog but wow…he knows his job! You’ve got to try shooting birds over a flushing dog like this Springer Spaniel. It is fast action and you have to get your shotgun up quick. I think experienced hunters will definitely enjoy this challenge. My son and I will definitely do this again.

First, let me mention Mendel and his staff; top notch guys! This was a fantastic time out. Our guide Bill and his Springers JoJo and Keeper made the hunt! They had some fantastic flushes and made it easy for us to do our part; put the birds in the cooler. I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. You can count on me being back!

This was such an amazing pheasant hunt. Over 3000 acres of land to hunt on! Mendel was super helpful and nice during the hunt. What a great experience. I would recommend this to pros and first time hunters for sure!

I’ve been a hunting dog breeder, trainer, and handler for over 50 years and taken two of my Springer Spaniels to National Field Trial Championships in both the U.S. and Canada. My dogs have hunted pheasants in California, Washington, Montana, Iowa, the Dakota’s, Minnesota, Alberta, and Manitoba. I know great birds when I see them.

The pheasants at Woodland’s Hunt Club are truly amazing and rival any wild birds my dogs have ever produced for me. I’d use two words to describe pheasant hunting with Mendel Woodland…Explosive Action! And…don’t even get me started talking about his chukars!
