At RudyBlu Jewelry we take a fresh new approach to pearl jewelry…
The journey began 3-4 years ago; walking the aisles at a jewelers trade show, jewelry designer Anette Wachter stumbled upon a vendor with a fantastic pearl collection. She spent hours in this one booth, surrounded by pearls, imagining how she would use them in her work. It was pearl-love at first sight! Anette recently relocated to beautiful central Idaho, creating with her signature steel beads (sometimes called steel pearls), colorful gemstones, and pearls for the confident and elegant outdoorswoman.
Starting with the basic pearl, we apply all of the applications and design embellishments you see. Everything beyond the basic pearl has been added by hand, making these pieces distinctive and more than a classic, basic pearl. We believe our handmade jewelry deserves thoughtful, complimentary clasps and findings, so our components are all original designs that have been cast to tie in with our distinctive pearl jewelry.
We combine non-traditional design elements with traditional pearls to create modern pearl jewelry with a fun, sophisticated edge.
Anette grew up in the gorgeous and rugged Pacific NW in an entrepreneurial textile family. She was surrounded by the beautiful colors and textures of fabrics. But it was the textures and colors of metals and gems that attracted her to jewelry and fueled her passion. Finally unable to resist the calling, Anette started RudyBlu jewelry in her early 50’s proving it is never too late to follow your dreams!
Anette has been a member of The United States Long Range Rifle Team and has several US National and International Championships and records. She loves her dogs and horses too!
“The pearl itself represents strength, perseverance, and beauty. I love to push the envelope with pearl jewelry designs creating unique and adventurous pieces.”
